About Thomas
With a mission to leverage data—including individual experiences—to help people make better decisions about their health, Thomas Goetz is co-founder and CEO of Iodine, a digital health company based in San Francisco. While Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, he created Flip the Clinic, an RWJF Signature Program intended to transform the practitioner-patient encounter in the US. His first book, The Decision Tree, was widely hailed as offering a new vision for US healthcare, and his recently published second book, The Remedy, is a literary medical history gem. As executive editor of WIRED, he led the magazine to a dozen National Magazine Awards from 2001 through 2012. Thomas also writes the LaunchPad column for Inc. magazine and plays the cello.
