Laird Hamilton

Big wave surfer Laird Hamilton is known as the guiding genius of crossover board sports. A surfer since the age of three, he is largely credited with the popularity of Stand Up Paddle Surfing, most often referenced simply as “SUP,” and for creating bold new approaches and techniques in many water sport disciplines. Among many endeavors, he has made epic long distance journeys on an ocean-going paddleboard, and created the first forward speed sailing loop. A TV and film actor and stuntman, he surfed in the film Riding Giants, and was featured on the show The Extremists, where he tested the limits of air boarding, rock climbing, kite surfing and jet-ski surfing.
