About Bob
Renowned UCSF internist, founder of the hospitalist movement, and former chair of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Bob Wachter is a national leader in the fields of patient safety and healthcare quality. He is well known for his iconoclastic — and humorous — viewpoints on the pressing healthcare issues of the day, including the role of patients and physicians in medical care.
