Padideh Kamali-Zare

Padideh Kamali-Zare, Ph.D. is the founding CEO of Darmiyan, Inc., an early stage biotech company that aims to revolutionize the way neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease are detected. As the CEO of this rapidly growing San Francisco-based start up company, Padideh utilizes her creativity and expertise in biological physics and geometrical modeling to look for unconventional ways to solve problems and navigate the challenges faced by a young company. Padideh completed her doctoral studies at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. In 2010 she moved to New York for her post-doctoral training in computational neuroscience, and then rose through the ranks to become an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology & Neuroscience, prior to founding Darmiyan.
