Connie Chen

Dr. Connie Chen is a practicing primary care physician and Chief Medical Officer at Vida Health. Prior to Via, she was Digital Health and Innovation Principal at Kaiser Permanente and Medical Director at StartX Med, the Stanford technology accelerator. Dr. Chen founded the physician community at HealthTap bringing onboard their first 10,000 physicians. She has published extensively on open frameworks for mobile health as well as use of comparative effectiveness research design in leading medical journals such as the Journal of the American Medical Association, Archives of Internal Medicine and the Journal of Medical Internet Research. She holds an MD from UCSF where she founded the Health Technology Interest Group and served as medical director for the UCSF Venture Innovation Program.
