About Elliot
Engineer and entrepreneur Elliot Swart is a visionary in the field of telemedicine, known for creating systems that use computer science to improve access to healthcare. His passion for technology started very early, beginning his programming education in the Logo language at just eight years old. Elliot went on to pursue a degree in computer science and engineering at Yale University. He then completed research at prestigious institutions like Stanford and Johns Hopkins, focusing on combining machine learning with dermatology and designing advanced prosthetics.Elliot is best known as the co-founder and former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of 3Derm Systems. His company pioneered the use of smart garments that allow any user to take clinical-quality, 3D images of worrying skin lesions. These images are then immediately uploaded through a secure cloud platform for a dermatologist to review remotely, making skin care accessible from anywhere. As CTO, Elliot was responsible for leading the entire technology team, building the scalable, high-security platform needed to safely transmit sensitive patient data, and overseeing the development of the imaging device itself. The success of the 3Derm technology and its mission to bring specialized care to more people led to the company being acquired by Digital Diagnostics. Today, Elliot continues to work at the intersection of health, artificial intelligence, and engineering, dedicated to finding new technological solutions for medical challenges.
