Roberto Flores

Roberto Flores, MD, is the Medical Director of the Smile Train Virtual Surgery Simulator and a board-certified plastic surgeon. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery and the Director of the Cleft and Craniofacial Unit at Indiana University Medical Center. Dr. Flores received his BA from Columbia University and his MD from the NYU School of Medicine, where he continued on to complete his general and plastic surgery residencies as well as a fellowship in craniofacial surgery. His research interests include surgical education, specializing in the development of digital 3D simulations of complex surgical procedures for the purpose of training surgeons worldwide. Dr. Flores has published extensively; lectured internationally; and has been featured on national television. He is a member of the Ohio Valley Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Society of Craniofacial Surgeons.
