Keenan Wyrobek is a robotics expert and the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Zipline, a company that uses drones to deliver life-saving medical supplies. He has spent his career building high-tech products and holds several patents in medical robotics. Zipline’s mission is to get essential products to some of the most difficult-to-reach places on Earth. Since 2016, their drones have been delivering blood and medical supplies in countries like Rwanda. The company has grown significantly, and its technology is now used to deliver millions of products to people in several countries, including the United States, where they have partnered with hospitals and major retailers. Before Zipline, Keenan co-founded the Personal Robotics Program at Willow Garage, where he played a key role in developing the Robot Operating System (ROS), a platform now used by robotics researchers worldwide. His work is at the forefront of using technology to solve major global problems. Keenan’s focus is on designing and building the entire logistics network that allows Zipline to deliver a wide range of supplies, making healthcare more accessible for millions of people.
