Jyoti Sharma is a social entrepreneur and a leader in community health and water conservation in India. Recognizing the widespread issue of water scarcity and its impact on community health, she founded the FORCE Group of Nonprofits in 2004. Using an interdisciplinary approach, the organization works to improve water security and sanitation, which in turn helps reduce the spread of diseases. FORCE has become a nationally recognized organization for its work in bringing clean water to communities. Jyoti’s unique background in economics and business management, with degrees from Delhi University and the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM), has allowed her to create innovative solutions to complex health and environmental problems. Her expertise is highly sought after; she has been appointed to numerous policy-making and advisory committees for water conservation in the Indian government. Jyoti’s commitment to social change has also earned her global recognition, including being an Ashoka Fellow and a Social Entrepreneur in Residence at Brown University. She is also an author, having written articles for international publications and a book titled Effective Social Innovation.
