Jonathan set up QuantuMDx in his garage 6 years ago and with his Board and Management Team has steadily built it to be one of the most exciting companies in the diagnostic device world. The technology vision he had was simple – to place complex molecular diagnostics and DNA sequencing into a pocket sized device and thus provide resource limited settings access to referral laboratory testing. The device will provide anyone the ability to test themselves for disease, drug resistance and more in under 10 minutes. His device will cost no more than a cell phone and is styled as such. The disruptive device will decentralize this important and complex testing, providing developing nations access to this powerful testing without having to invest in expensive infrastructure and skills, essentially providing a technology leap. With his device now in prototype format, Jonathan envisions these devices beaming data to the cloud to create a network of pathogens, monitoring the emergence and spread of disease in real-time. This network, the Internet of Life, will change the way we monitor disease across the globe.
