Amy Gleason began her career in nursing and quickly found that she loved technology. She went from the emergency room to a start up EMR company where she learned how technology can make healthcare better. Amy spent over 15 years implementing and building Electronic Medical Record and Practice Management applications at small and large companies such as Misys Healthcare, Eclipsys, and Allscripts, where she lead Product Management and Development teams for physician office, laboratory, radiology, and medical records management solutions. In June 2010, her daughter was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder, which opened her eyes to a whole new set of challenges in the healthcare system. As a caregiver, she had a new role to play in keeping her daughter’s care organized, efficient, and effective. At CareSync, Amy draws upon this experience as a caregiver to create solutions that help patients and their families. She serves on the Board of Directors for Cure JM, a non-profit working toward a cure for her daughter’s disease, Juvenile Myositis. She is passionate about helping patients have a better healthcare experience and is active in many patient and caregiver communities.
