Fall Internship at TEDMED


TEDMED is the independent health and medicine edition of the world-famous TED conference, dedicated to “ideas worth spreading.” TED Talks have been viewed online over two billion times around the world. TEDMED is a 501c3 Public Charity.

Created by TED’s original founder, TEDMED convenes and curates extraordinary people and ideas from all disciplines both inside and outside of health and medicine in pursuit of unexpected connections that accelerate innovation in health and medicine. Best known for its annual event, TEDMED is a year-round global community.

TEDMED is seeking a candidates to join the TEDMED team as a Fall Intern (Mid-September 2019 - Mid-December 2019). 


  • Help sharing talks from TEDMED 2018, brainstorming talk titles and preparing assets to support their release.
  • Aid in the announcement of the program for TEDMED 2020 online and on social media channels by collecting and preparing content, editing images and writing copy.
  • Assist in creating the TEDMED 2020 printed program guide by collecting and preparing content, editing images and writing copy.
  • Assist in finding and reviewing videos for the TEDMED 2020 stage program.
  • Search for authentic images of Speakers and Hive organizations to be used on social media and marketing outreach.
  • Assist in monitoring TEDMED social media channel analytics and help gather social media platforms for speakers, partners, hive organizations, and social influencers.
  • Contribute to ongoing analysis across TEDMED’s various initiatives.
  • Contribute to various research related projects in support of the topics and themes that will be explored at TEDMED’s annual event.


  • Strong administration skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to cross check and edit large amounts of information
  • Ability to work well independently and with others
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Currently in a relevant undergraduate or graduate course of study such as public health, medicine, or scientific research

Throughout the internship and as this year’s event gets closer, we’ll explore the opportunity for Interns to support the event in person at TEDMED 2020, which is taking place March 2-4, 2020 in Boston, MA.
