Kathleen Goodman
Deputy Director, Strategy and Innovation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
Kathleen is passionate about giving every child a fair shot at life. Her vision: Fewer children will die unnecessarily from diseases. Her purpose: To disrupt complacency that lets down children who, through no fault of their own, were born in places where they are at greater risk. As Deputy Director for Strategy and Innovation at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Kathleen leads efforts to envision the future of immunization globally, developing strategies that improve access to and demand for vaccines in the 73 poorest countries in the world. Drawn to gnarly problems and new ideas, Kathleen tackles them by drawing on her 20+ years of experience in organizational development, systems thinking, and strategy and her studies in Biology at Whitman College, and Management and Organizations at Emerson College.
