Chrissie Giles, MSc
Longform Writer and Editor; Editor of Mosaic
Chrissie Giles is the Editor of the award-winning longform publication Mosaic (mosaicscience.com).

She has worked as a writer and editor for over 15 years. Her articles cover subjects as diverse as how doctors discuss death and dying with patients, compulsive hair-pulling, and why British people her age were the “Peak Booze” generation. She has also been writer-in-residence at a hospice, where she led a creative writing group.

Chrissie is passionate about increasing the diversity of stories and storytellers in science journalism, and is a champion of up-and-coming writers from around the world.

Since 2006, Chrissie has worked in London for the health foundation Wellcome. It was there that she and colleagues launched Mosaic in 2014. Previously, she worked for Nature Publishing Group, a medical communications agency and a monthly magazine about RVs. She studied Biochemistry at university and completed a Master’s in Science Communication at Imperial College, London.
